Just a random hello to announce I’m still alive! Found some random facts while searching earlier. The domain Sex.com was sold for $14 million only 2 years ago. Apparently the peak of selling domain names has now passed (it’s highlight being during the dot.com boom), but yeah there is definitely money to be made through this. Many websites will easily/speedily let you punch in domain names you wish to enquire over, telling you if they have been snapped up. I bet there are some really obvious, quirky, simple money-making ones out there, and damnation to whoever manages to get a hold of them!

Too afraid to commit any cash to any hosting or names, etc, before research is done. Still, a positive balance is a positive….[Dan]….

On a side note I’ve seen many people auctioning characters from games such as WoW for a fair bit of cash, one is currently selling for $300+ (bids) with over 3 days to go! If i was a regular player that would be a sweet way to make some cash every few months or so…

Also… sites such as shoutwire offer the ability to post an article for free, if it is a good or popular article (receiving lots of interest / views) its moved up the list of ‘popular’ or ‘new’ articles to claim more advertisement etc on the site. When people click on your article’s link, it is possible to have them redirected to a different web address in order to view the article / item posted. Hence, if you post something worthwhile on a site like this, you could end up with a lot of redirected traffic, and potential then for cash. Still, like i said, researching myself so not sure how much of this is painstakingly obvious, but its relevant and an idea none-the-less.

Still at +17 dollars (which is decreasing with the pound dollar ratio! damn!) better get a move on – what’s it been, two weeks now? I aiming for (realistically) 50 dollars by October, to be built upon from there.
