My New Amazing IdeaTuesday, October 28th |
Ok, so you may know me for my astounding ideas, and yet again I have struck one and actually acted upon it! So what is this idea you may ask? Well…its in my pants!
Ok that might have been a bit crude, lol, let me explain. There is a game called ‘in my pants’, in which you take a movie name and add ‘in my pants’ afterwards. So for example, you might have ‘Grease…in my pants’ or ‘Top Gun…in my pants’. Its an extremely childish game, but one where you can have lots of fun.
So what I have done am currently working on, is my websitewhich displays random movie titles, followed by ‘in your pants’ to give readers a bit of a laugh. I can already feel your love and admiration for this idea flowing through, lol.
The truth of the matter is yes, its a silly site, but I am quite enjoying developing it. Once I have got it a bit more established (I need to add some graphics and a rating system), I’m hoping to market it out. It is one of those sites that people can visit for a ‘quick laugh’ and not have to trawl around for much else. In that sense it has limited appeal, but if I can get a steady income from it for long enough, I can sell it for a lot more than its cost me.
So I hear you ask; how are you going to make money with this site?! Well, the obvious thing is AdWords, however I hate the thing to pieces sadly; I feel it makes website look 10 times worse than they actually are. It might come down to me placing some AdWords on the site, but I’m going to hold off as long as I can. My money making scheme for the site is quite sneaky, and I will let you figure out exactly how it will work (I haven’t implemented it fully yet). I also have some more ideas for it so stay tuned and I’ll let you know how it pans out!

It’s a funny idea for sure!
As for the monetization potential I don’t really know, it’ll have to be popular! YOu could expand it and not only offer ‘in your pants’…

Heh, yeah its more of a ’silly’ idea than a proper ‘official’ one, but I hope it can provide a little bit of revenue, as its been quite fun designing it up! Somehow I already have over 70 additions from other people, which is pretty cool! lol

Ahhh your so close on how I am planning on making money from it
The idea was to put affiliate links on the movie names so that people could buy them through amazon. However, am loving the lovefilm reccomendation though…they do offer a lot dont they…

I’ve never done this with movie titles before, but always song titles.

I’m thinking of adding url’s to peoples name so that they can get a link back from the website – should encourage people to add some! Albeit you didnt need encourgaing Clog, thanks for your entries
