My Plans for Domimation

Saturday, August 8th

Hey all. So the competition start date is looming, and so I’ve started to think of ways that I can win this competition hands down. Now I know my strengths lie in my creativeness and programming, so I have come up with a few good ideas around those points. However, my weakness lies in my marketing abilities. I’ve been able to come up with off the wall ideas and design them to as I want, but never been able to drive the traffic to them.

So I plan to try and learn as much as I can about marketing so that I can effectively put my ideas and plans out there. Marketing is key to any business structure, wether we like it or not.

That said, Im planning on focusing my attention on the long term goals – I have couple of websites in mind that could potentialy go viral, and Im also thinking of branching out into the iPhone app industry, as there is a great money making potential there. I have a couple of kick ass ideas in this area also, which I will talk about in later updates.

If I could give anyone any advice about making money online, I would strongly suggest doing your research on advertising. You could have the greatest thing in the world, but if no-one knows about it, you’ll struggle.

Dan

So true Dan. I’ve started a brand new blog and fortunately the keyword is part of the domain name and so the search engines are starting to send me some visitors but I need a whole lot more for it to take off, especially as the topic is not one I can advertise using commentluv.

Too rude for commentluv?

Yeah I really have to start making waves with advertising as atm I have some brill ideas (even if I say so myself :P ) but just little clueless about how to advertise it.

Well, when you hit on a plan that works let me know. I can certainly use it.

First, it’s been a long time, Dan!

Second, yes, doing some research online isn’t a bad thing.

Third, when all else fails, just sign up for stuff, test it, see how it goes, and if you don’t like it, drop it.

Just do something! :-)

Dan spoke the following

Indeed it has Mitch!! How have you been?

I kinda agree with your third option; I’ve been really timid in the past with advertising and signing up for things, which I think is why I miss out on the big oppurtunities. I know people who will happily spam forums and other such places to get hits, whereas I think its just rude to do so, and so my ‘good will’ stops me.

So no more Mr. nice guy :P

I’ve been good, Dan; good to see you around again.

As for testing, you know I do it often for my blog. I sign up for something, more like an affiliate program, then I go about seeing how well I think it’s doing and write about it. If I hate it, I drop it and move on.

Dude – iPhone apps.. that’s where the party is at. For real, you come up with one dope app and you can retire.

Good luck with your facebook ads Dan.If you’re interested in making money from iphone apps go check out Pat at smartpassiveincome.com. He is selling iphone apps, has 3 now I think and he talks a little bit about how he does it and he’s doing pretty well with them.
