Woes of an Internet Free Weekend Monday, September 8th Daily News

Hey all, apologies for no posts over the weekend, but with my computer down I was very lucky to even scrape by any internet, haven’t even had a chance to check my mail until I got into work today! (Albeit Andy doesn’t have any excuse unless he’s been making too much money)

So the new hard-drive should be coming today, and then I just have to wait on my Windows Cd’s being delivered and then I’m back in the game! It seems over the weekend my two domains have now been correctly pointed to my hosting, so I can (sort of) take action on the eBook plan. I’m still going to wait until I have my computer up and running before I go all out on it, as the website design needs a bit of tweaking.

Strangely on Friday night before I left work, I looked into some AdWords campaigns. For those who aren’t sure what AdWords is: when you search google for a particular phrase, you may come across ’sponsered’ advertising. These people pay a certain amount (per click) to google relating to the keyword you have entered. So say I bought an ad-word campaign on the phrase ‘Dan VS Andy’; when you then search that term in google, my sponsored advertisement would come up on the page. Then, if you clicked the advert, I would have to pay google a certain amount (from 0.01 up, depending how many people are ‘bidding’ on that phrase/keyword). Well on Friday I found a very interesting phrase with apparently no bidders (wasn’t the original one I was looking for though). I’m going to test that out soon, will give you more details as soon as I know exactly what I’m going to do.

I said I would write something up about website flipping, and I will try to get that up tomorrow. A heck of a lot of it has already been said elsewhere in blogs, but I’ll try to bring something to it
